Melanie Rose

Painter Melanie Rose explores landscape through tracks, traces, paths, and tumuli. Inviting questions as to whether it is possible to re-envision the landscape through contemporary painting, raising questions for the present and future in terms of access, biodiversity, farming practices and stewardship, arguments sourced, witnessed, and explored through walking and painting.

I am a visual artist whose practice is predominantly drawing; the constant theme running through my work is the relationship between the human form and the natural environment.
