A LAND2 Symposium for members and associates is being hosted by Dr. Rebecca Thomas and Professor Steve Baker.

This event will showcase members' and associates' recent publications including academic works, artist books and catalogues. There is also an opportunity for members to give a pecha kucha presentation about their work in relation to the notion of landscapes: contemporary and contested.

In the Open

This two-venue exhibition brings together works by those who practice collaboratively and variously as artists, poets, performers, curators and academics. All work has been made by at least two collaborators across disciplines to explore, through research and practice, ideas around landscape, place, ecology and environment.

A day of talks by artists and academics whose practice and research concentrates around subjects relating to landscape and place. Part of a two-year project which focuses on the duality of actuality and metaphor arising from the title, Excavations & Estuaries.

An exhibition and symposium to celebrate ten years of the network Land2. A collaboration between Land2, East Street Arts and the School of Design, University of Leeds.

The Role of Collections and Archives in Art Practice

The Role of Collections and Archives in Art Practice seminar was organised by Land2 member Deborah Gardner to coincide with her exhibition Re-Collect: Sculptural Responses to Place showing at Huddersfield Art Gallery until the 27th August 2011.

Common Ground

The Common Ground one-day symposium, organized for LAND2 by Shelley James, took place in the Faculty of Creative Arts, UWE, Bristol and followed the tradition of our on-going inter-disciplinary concerns by bringing together scientists and artists around a common theme.
